DAY 6
THIS IS MY Sixth DAY LEARNING ABOUT PSYCHOLOGY AND WRITE WHAT I LEARN
Psychology experimentS
Psychology experiments can vary widely in design and purpose, but
they generally aim to investigate human behavior, thoughts, and
emotions. Here are some notable types of psychology experiments:
Operant Conditioning (Skinner Box)
Purpose: To explore how reinforcement and punishment influence behavior.
Method: B.F. Skinner used a box that rewarded animals (like rats) with food for pressing a lever. This experiment showed how behaviors can be shaped by consequences.
The Stanford Prison Experiment
Purpose: To examine the psychological effects of perceived power and authority.
Method: Participants were assigned roles as either guards or prisoners in a simulated prison environment. The study revealed how quickly individuals could adopt roles and how situational factors can influence behavior.

The Asch Conformity Experiment
Purpose: To understand social influence and conformity.
Method: Participants were asked to match line lengths while surrounded by confederates who gave incorrect answers. The study showed how group pressure could lead individuals to conform to wrong answers.
